Leo Neuhofer
Leo worked as a thrower at Bennett's pottery in the early 80's before starting his own ceramic studio. He has worked at the Jam Factory Adelaide and has undertaken residencies there and at UniSA where he also completed an Honours degree in 2005. The same year saw him awarded the South Australian Ceramic Award. Leo has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in South Australia and interstate and has participated in several juried ceramic competitions. Leo has made several public art commissions and since the early 90's he has focused on making sculptural ceramic work. Leo says that 'the idea of mortality and the ramifications of the concept on the living permeates the conceptual approach to most of my work produced'.
